I’ve been so swamped with studying and midterms that I haven’t had much time to do what I want to do: hang out, work out, play basketball, eat. I’m not even sure if my studying works. I haven’t been getting the results that I’ve hoped.
I would study and study for hours and hours, then I’d forget most of the things I studied the next day. My way of studying is to study things over and over so crap like that wouldn’t happen. In theory, if I was to read things over and over, I can’t possibly forget it.
So I studied for like 6-8 hours for my biology midterm. That class isn’t really biology; it’s more like socio-biology. Anyway, I went in the room feeling pretty good to take the midterm. When I finshed early, I was feeling pretty confident that I got everything right. The week after, I got my results back. I got a friggin’ 63/100. What kind of crap is that?!
People that studied less than me got higher grades than me, even people that barely go to class. Apparently, I’ve been studying all the wrong material. Those questions that I said, “Nah.. why would he ask that?”, actually did appear on the test. Stupid.

I haven’t blogged for about a month; I kinda missed it. Why have I not been blogging? Laziness, I guess. Well, I’m back and I hope I’ll keep at it.
What’s been happenin’ these days, eh? I’ve been trying to play basketball whenever possible in an attempt to improve myself. I can’t just sit here and believe that my skills won’t regress. I’m just trying to change myself from being a small big-man into shooting outside shots and having some handles. I can’t always be playing down low when my size does not permit it. CCU better watch out. I think I got better. Lol.
Academically, I said I was gonna be more serious this quarter. Two weeks in, and I’m still procrastinating. I just can’t get myself to do my work! I’m still in high school mode, unfortunately. YouTube is a much more interesting thing to do than multi-variable calculus.

- Just a picture of me dunking while I was practicing. No big deal.

It’s been so long since I’ve updated because I’ve been so busy with studying and all that junk. Finals week just ended so now I’m all relaxed. I studied to much for stupid Chinese/Japan: Eastern Asia history and stupid DOC that my mind feels all worked out. I studied for 36.5 stupid hours for stupid history and about 18 hours for stupid DOC. I better pass those stupid classes.
Now, I’m home. The thing is, I’m going to leave again tomorrow to go snowboarding. I hope its gonna be fun. I’m sure it is gonna be. Short entry, at least I updated.

I’ve been up late lately, so I felt like relaxing on a Sunday. Betty and I woke up at around 1:30pm, but we didn’t really get out of bed until 3pm. After we got ready, we proceeded to head over to grab some lunch. I got what I usually got: hamburger, chicken breast burger, and water. Good thing Betty got chili cheese fries to finish off my great lunch :). After a great lunch, we went back to my place to watch some Clannad. Betty realized she had to do her laundry, so I walked her back. When I got back to my place, I decided watch “What Dreams May Come” with Sylvia. The movie was kind of eh. It was a romantic movie, but not really anything special. Afterwards, we went to grab dinner. After stuffing our stomachs, we went to RIMAC to play some raquetball. What fun would it be to play without anything at stake? After much double-or-nothing matches, we finished off raquetball with me winning 32 foot-long subway sandwiches, 32 tapioca express runs, and 32 frozen yogurts from Yogurt World. Play time’s over. Free food.

Ever since I had the flu, I’ve been getting lazier. When I wake up in the morning, I don’t have the motivation to go to class anymore. When I get off my classes, I don’t feel like doing any work. My senioritis is coming back! I need to step my game up or my GPA’s gonna take a hard hit.
College life has been getting less fun lately. I haven’t had this thought for quite some time, but lately, I realized once again that there is not much to do in UCSD. When I took a trip to LA to visit my brother, there was so much to do. People actually walked around on weekends, and people were having fun. There’s actually life off-campus, and people do hang out late at night. Why does UCSD have to be such an isolated area where the only thing close to do late at night is go to Ralph’s? Lame!

So since Sunday, I had influenza. I didn’t know it then; I thought it was just the common cold. Turned out to be the flu when I was tired all the time, even from only standing up for a few seconds. Even taking a shower would make me tired and sleepy! Today is Friday night, and I skipped EVERY SINGLE class for the whole week. I have never skipped class because I was sick before. This was not any ordinary sickness, man. I had:
Excessive Sweating
Intense Headache
Weakness
Phlegm
Fever
Insomnia
Body Aches
Sore Throat
Worst week of college ever. I’m still very tired from the flu. Most of my symptoms are gone, but my sensitivity to the temperature and weakness still lingers. Boo!

I haven’t been updated myBlog for ten days! Man, I’ve been slacking. I’ve actually been slacking in everything I’ve been doing: school, church, etc. I haven’t been taking my classes seriously at all. Yesterday, I skipped both my classes because I was too tired to get up and get dressed. I haven’t done much of my readings for the past two weeks. Gosh! I’m so behind. Oh well. Life of a college kid just wanting to pass and get outta here.
I’m actually not slacking in church. If anything, I’ve made improvements in my spiritual part of my life. I met some pretty inspiring and encouraging people that strengthened me spiritually. For you non-religious people, I don’t think you’d know what I’m talking about. Haha. But anyway, I’m glad I met those people.
I need to step my game up on things!
Playtime’s over.
It’s time to get serious.

I wonder how long was it since the last time I went to church? I think it’s been five weeks, but I finally went to church. I was introduced to this huge church called “The Rock”. It was such a lively church, and the pastor reminded me of Denzel Washington. That’s definitely cool! Haha. It’s really far from UCSD, but I met some new people today and they were nice enough to give me a ride. After church, April, Eric, Sylvia, and I decided to go to Chipotle to grab something to eat. The burritos were sooooo good! You don’t even know until you try it. After the nice burrito, we walked around La Jolla Village Square to waste time because we were supposed to watch a movie. I totally forgot I had the Fusion meeting to attend so I decided not to go. Darn! Totally missed out on “He’s Just Not That Into You”.
Anyway, bussed back to my apartment, then just hung around till Fusion meeting. The meeting today was alright. We didn’t really do much. All I did was talk to Arthur about San Francisco. Haha. After the Fusion meeting, Angela and I went to OVT to go eat. Ted, Bruce, Allen, and Lawrence came and we just ate and chilled. Afterwards, went back to my apartment to watch a movie, then … here I am. Sounds like a fun day, huh?

So today, I went on a “movie spree”. Haha. I watched Push, Taken, and Coraline with Angela and Betty today. Push was so sick! Oh man! You gotta watch it. Taken was … pretty good. Too hyped up, IMO. Coraline was just .. what the? Just read up on my reviews on them from my other blog. After the movies, we all went to SuperCuts because Betty and I wanted haircuts. After we were done, we bussed back to eat at Canyon Vista with Kim, then we were just talking for a while. After that, I walked back to my apartment. Sigh. How lame to be back here, but there’s really nothing to do. Sigh ..

What a day! I started today by going to my China & Japanese history class, then my computer programming section to do my lab quiz. Gosh, it was hard. Anyway, Angela and I went to Warren to go eat at Canyon Vista, but there was free bbq out on the lawn, so we went to get that instead. As we were eating, we saw some people and were just chilling. Then we went to Angela’s to watch last week’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Then, we decided to go to Price Center to do our computer programming homework. Gosh! It took so long! We left at 7PM to go eat at Canyon Vista, forreal this time. Then, we went to watch the current America’s Best Dance Crew. No! I’m so mad at the results. I won’t ruin it for the people that didn’t watch it. Afterwards, we left to go back to Marshall where she went to kunFusion practice and I went to Oceanview Lounge to meet up some people. I haven’t had this much fun talking to people for quite some time. We were supposed to be doing a project kinda thing, but we were also sidetracking 75% of the time. Oh man, it was hilarious. As I was walking back to my apartment, I bumped into my apartment-mate and neighbor as they were gonna grab something to eat. I might as well join in, ya know? Gosh, we had the most hilarious conversation. After about hours 2 hours of sitting and talking, we finally left. Lots of laughs. I need more of it in San Diego.
